29 May THE WHITE HORSE HOTEL, DORKING, AWARDED GLOBAL SECURE ACCREDITATION
The White Horse Hotel, Dorking, a member of Bespoke Hotels has become the first provincial hotel to receive a Global Secure Accreditation.
Located in the market town of Dorking in Surrey, The White Horse re-opened in March 2018 following a £4 million renovation. The hotel welcomes leisure guests as well as corporate clients. The Global Secure Accreditation differentiates The White Horse from other hotels in the area as it demonstrates dedication to an enhanced duty of care for all guests and staff. As well as strategic security planning and maintenance of the physical security in the building, the accreditation includes an evaluation of staff security training and awareness. Therefore, clients are assured of a high standard of safety procedures throughout the property, including meetings and events which take place in the two meeting rooms at the heart of the hotel.
Beccy Gunn, General Manager at The White Horse, Dorking said: “I am delighted to have achieved the GSA standard for the White Horse Hotel. It reflects the hard work and investment we have made in security. Our corporate clients are increasingly concerned about security issues and this award will help me to reassure those clients, and other guests, that we have high security standards which have been verified independently.”
Despite being situated in a low risk location, external to the level of threat in large and busy cities, there are still aspects of security very relevant for clients and visitors to be aware of. The White Horse’s management value security and uphold strong standards, allowing them to comfortably meet the requirements of the accreditation. No other hotel in the area has such an accreditation or independent security reassurance, so The White Horse’s new accreditation is a strong differentiator, especially for corporate bookings and travel managers looking to place clients.
Global Secure Accreditationis changing the way hotel security is assessed through an effective hotel security accreditation process, allowing business travellers and hotel guests to feel confident in their safety and the hotel’s security standards. This accreditation is only awarded to hotels that possess approved levels of security, assisting travellers with making informed choices about their safety and security in hotels both nationally and internationally.
Bob Quick, Executive Director of Global Secure Accreditation commented: “The White Horse, Dorking values their guests and their security extremely highly. Despite the hotel’s location in a relatively low risk area, the accreditation assures business guests of a high standard of security when staying in the hotel and for those meeting there. As the first provincial hotel to be awarded the accreditation, this provides guests with confidence that the property and Bespoke Hotels brand takes security seriously.”
