Hotels are assigned a dedicated GSA trained and qualified assessor who is independently qualified and drawn from the global network of experienced former law enforcement or military professionals. In collaboration with the hotel, the assessor will manage the hotel through the process to accreditation or provide a remedial plan to be implemented. Successful hotels receive a certificate and a detailed Accreditation Report, demonstrating the hotel’s commitment to the highest levels of security and guest safety.
GSA provides an online advisory service to hotels that receive the Global Prestige Accreditation and issues best practice guidance and provide supportive advice that enables hotels to achieve and maintain the Global Secure Accreditation standard.
Global Prestige Accreditation provides access to on-line, role specific, security training for hotel staff and best practise guidance. Our training packages are designed to deliver general and role specific security related knowledge, cost effectively, with minimum staff abstraction. Security incident alerts provide hotels with near real time information that identifies threats to the property or wider location, alongside expert analysis and commentary to highlight key actions and lessons. Global Prestige Accreditation also provides access to a hotel security blog and a hotel security forum for industry professionals to discuss topics and share experiences and best operational practice.
The process
GSA provides a bespoke assessment of a hotel from a GSA assessor. The assessor completes all aspects of the online process before conducting an onsite assessment.
GSA Prestige Accreditation offers the most comprehensive report and recommendations for a hotel. The enhanced accreditation report is a powerful marketing tool for clients seeking assurance about security. On successful accreditation the client hotel receives a certificate of accreditation and GSA branding materials.
Achieving the GSA standard
Global Secure Prestige Accredited hotels receive access to the Global Secure Community, a secure online resource and networking site where hotels can access hotel specific security alerts, safety information, updated intelligence, advice, and a member’s forum to network and share good practice. The Global Secure Community provides ‘one-stop’ access to a range of hotel security related services, including training packages and approved specialist contractors.
