The ISO 31030 global standard for travel risk management places new obligations on employers’ duty of care to travelling employees by providing competent and objective assessment that ensures appropriate safety and security standards for accommodation.
The Global Secure assessment for accommodation has been created to deliver a process that fully meets the ISO 31030 standard. The GSA accreditation process and standard have been designed from the ground up to help employers select accommodation for their employees that has appropriate levels of safety and security procedures.
Each accommodation that is assessed is assigned a dedicated GSA trained and qualified assessor, drawn from our global network of experienced former law enforcement or military professionals. The GSA intelligence analysts will complete a risk assessment that is unique to the specific accommodation. This takes into consideration the likelihood and impact of national, regional and local security risks.
The assessor will either manage the assessment through an evidence-based online process, undertaken virtually through our bespoke web-based software platform, or the assessor will undertake the assessment on behalf of the accommodation, including a full on-site inspection. All aspects of security are assessed.
GSA assessors are highly experienced and will make pragmatic recommendations, including suggested enhancements to practices and procedures, that can often be implemented without considerable expenditure.
When the assessment is completed, the accommodation is either recommended to SFJ Awards for accreditation, or a plan for remedial action is agreed with the accommodation to meet the required standard.
Successful accommodation receive a Global Secure Certificate of Accreditation, a bespoke accreditation report and digital assets, including the Global Secure mark, for guest and industry communications.
